V&A Dundee X MSCTY

Outdoor Durational Sound Installation

Inspired by notions of impermanence, "~" for the V&A's exterior is shaped by the elemental surrounds of the museum's location – with the Tay Estuary serving as a jump-off point from which to explore spatial and temporal themes that permeate nature.

Exploring and examining the role of nature as composer, "~" reflects and resonates the living-breathing aquatic soundworld of the Tay and Kengo Kuma's landscaped pools to create a live optical soundtrack.

Programming and development in collaboration with Tommy Perman and Simon Kirby

Presented alongside new work by Japanese composer and percussionist Midori Takada
